Nanawagan si Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr., sa kawani ng media na tulungan siyang malaban ang umano’y talamak nang fake news sa bansa.
Ayon sa naging talumpati ni PBBM sa ginanap na year-end fellowship ng Malacañang Press Corps nitong Huwebes, Disyembre 4, sinabi niyang kailangan daw nilang magtulungan at ng mga media para puksain ang fake news.
"Our big problem, and this one talaga (really) I need your help, I don't know how to approach it. We have many, many ideas. But what we need, really, to work together on fake news. The things that have been going on,” saad niya.
Hinikayat ng Pangulo ang mga media na pagbutihin pa ang kanilang trabaho dahil sa aniya’y talamak nang fake news.

"But now, suddenly, your writings, your opinions are equal in importance and credibility to these crazy conspiracy theories that have no basis in fact. And that's why we really have to work on this very, very hard because it has taken too much of the space,” pagdidiin niya.
Anang Pangulo, masyado nang pinupunan ng fake news ang malaking espasyo para sa mga Pilipino kaya siya nananagawan sa media na labanan ito.
"Fake news has taken too much of the space. In the beginning, we thought it was funny, it was entertaining, but now it's become damaging. And that is something that we have to be concerned about. And that's why we say we need your help,” paliwanag niya.
Pagpapatuloy pa niya, alam niyang hindi madali ngunit kinakailangan lang umanong ituloy-tuloy nila ang paglaban sa fake news para maihatid ang katotohanan.
"And that is the challenge, I think, for us in the future. And it's not an easy one. It's not an easy challenge. But we have to continue and try to do it because it is important that people know the truth, that people know what is happening, truly,” ‘ika niya.
Dagdag pa niya, “That the people are not led into this crazy mind game that people have been playing without any connection anymore to reality. That is why I think we all have to work together."
Ayon pa sa Pangulo, para rin daw sa ikabubuti ng taumbayan ang kahalagahan ng paglaban nila sa fake news.
"I hope that that can be made, that (partnership) can be applied to this problem that we face. Thereby, giving us a much better, much more logical kind of discussion. And that will only be to the good for our country and to the good of our people,” paglilinaw niya.
Samantala, sa kabila ng mga kinakaharap ngayon ng bansa sa maraming usapin, tiniyak ni PBBM na maghihilom din nang mabilis ang bansa.
