Tahasang itinanggi ni Sen. Robin Padilla ang mga ulat na paiimbestigahan umano ng kaniyang opisina si Ilocos Norte 1st district Rep. Sandro Marcos.

Sa inilabas na opisyal na pahayag ni Padilla nitong Lunes, Disyembre 1, 2025, nilinaw ni Padilla na wala siyang kaugnayan sa mga nagpapakalat ng nasabing fake news ukol sa pagpapaimbestiga niya sa nasabing mambabatas.

“The posts circulating online are not true — they are simply another piece of fake news,” ani Padilla.

Saad pa niya, “The committees chaired by Senator Robinhood C. Padilla — Public Information and Mass Media, and Cultural Communities and Muslim Affairs — have no involvement in the issues relating to the ICI or the Blue Ribbon Committee, as these matters are not within their jurisdiction.”

Paglilinaw pa niya, ang isyung kinahaharap ni Rep. Marcos hinggil sa pagkakadawit sa kaniya ni dating Ako Bicol Partylist Rep. Zaldy Co ay hindi raw saklaw ng kaniyang opisina.

“As such, Senator Padilla does not want to pre-empt any action or decision of the ICI or the Blue Ribbon Committee” anang senador.

Wala rin daw siyang kapangyarihang magpatawag ng mga indibidwal o magpa-subpoena ng kung sinoman.

“The Office also clarifies that it does not have the authority, in aid of legislation, to subpoena or summon any individual regarding issues outside the mandate of Senator Padilla's committees,” giit ng senador.

Bunsod nito nakiusap din ang senador sa publiko na maging maingat sa mga kumakalat umanong mga maling balita.
