Kumpiyansa umano ang Uswag Ilonggo Party-list Representative na si Cong. James “Jojo” Ang Jr. na malilinis ang kaniyang pangalan hinggil sa isyu ng maanomalyang flood control projects sa bansa.

Kaugnay ito sa rekomendasyong isinumite ng Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) sa Office of the Ombudsman (OMB) noong Miyerkules, Nobyembre 26, na patawan umano ng criminal at administrative cases ang walong dati at kasalukuyang kongresista na nakasaad sa kanilang joint referral na umano’y may kinalaman sa flood control scam.

“My conscience is clear. I am confident that I will be able to clear my name soon. My resolve for truth to come out is stronger and clearer,” saad ni Cong. Ang Jr. sa ibinahaging social media post ng Uswag Ilonggo Partylist noong Miyerkules, Nobyembre 26.

Iginiit din ni Ang na sa loob daw ng tatlong taon sa serbisyo publiko, kahit kailan daw ay hindi niya ginamit ang kaniyang posisyon upang masundo ang kaniyang personal na interes.

“In my three years in public service, I have never used my position in the government for my own interest and to profit in any way. I hold the trust of the Ilonggos strongly, and will never betray the faith of my kasimanwas in me as their representative in Uswag Ilonggo Party-list since 2022,” aniya pa.

“I stand firm on what is true and just. I am ready to face this case in the proper forum,” pagtatapos niya.
