Nagsagawa ng kolektibong pagkilos ang mga mag-aaral sa Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) sa Sta. Mesa campus para ihayag ang kanilang mga hinaing kaugnay sa “korupsyon” sa maanomalyang flood-control projects.
Ayon sa ibinahaging post sa Facebook page ng students publication ng PUP Sta. Mesa nitong Biyernes, Oktubre 10, makikita ang “daan-daang” mga estudyante mula sa nasabing pamantasan na nakasuot ng itim at hawak ang kanilang mga plakard.

“Organized by various student councils and progressive student organizations, the walkout began in the late morning with students exiting their classrooms from their respective colleges and march towards the PUP Mabini Campus for the main program at 12NN,” saad nila sa post.
Paglilinaw nila, tugon umano ang ginawa nilang kilos-protesta sa mga usapin kaugnay sa maanomalyang flood-control projects.

“The protest was in response to recent reports of anomalies in flood control contracts, which allegedly involve overpricing, substandard materials, and suspicious procurement practices,” anang grupo.
“Students carried placards that read ‘Stop Korap, ‘Gabay ng Bayan, Walkout Na,’ and ‘PUPians for accountability.’ The student-led action remained peaceful and organized throughout,” dagdag pa nila.
Nagsagawa umano ang nasabing grupo ng mga estudyante ng maikling programa partikular sa pagbibigay ng talumpati, pagbasa ng mga tula, at solidarity statements mula sa mga lider-estudyante.
