Pinangunahan ng Special Rescue Force (SRF) ng Bureau of Fire Protection-Davao (BFP-11) ang pagresponde sa chemical spill sa isang pamantasan sa Davao City matapos ang pagyanig ng magnitude 7.4 na lindol sa Manay, Davao Oriental, umaga ng Biyernes, Oktubre 10.
Ayon sa Facebook page ng BFP-11, agad na rumesponde ang mga personnel sa 6th floor ng San Pedro College para matiyak ang kaligtasan ng mga estudyante, guro, at mga residenteng nahihirahan malapit sa pamantansan.
“Upon arrival, SRF personnel conducted containment operations to control the chemical spill and prevent further exposure or hazards within the area. The team ensured that proper safety protocols and decontamination procedures were strictly followed to protect students, faculty, and nearby residents,” saad sa post.
Sa kasalukuyan, patuloy ang pag-iimplementa ng safety protocols at decontamination procedures, at pakikipag-ugnayan ng SRF teams sa mga opisyal ng pamantasan at local emergency units para mas ma-monitor ang pamantasan.
“As of this time, coordination and response operations remain ongoing, with SRF teams continuing to monitor the site in collaboration with school officials and local emergency units,” dagdag pa rito.
