Nagbigay ng pahayag si Senator-elect Panfilo “Ping” Lacson kaugnay sa resolusyon ni Senador Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa na magbabasura sa impeachment trial laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte.
Sa isang pahayag nitong Biyernes, Hunyo 6, sinabi ni Lacson na hindi umano siya sang-ayon sa draft ng nasabing resolution ni Dela Rosa.
"There is no sense in the draft resolution calling for the de facto dismissal of the impeachment case against Vice President Duterte,” saad ni Lacson.
Dagdag pa niya, “Only the Senate as an impeachment court can render a decision on the matter, not the Senate as a legislative body, as the latter has no jurisdiction or legal authority to do so.”

Kaya para sa kaniya, ang pinakamainam na paraan umano ay itawid patungong 20th Congress ang impeachment trial dahil hindi ito matatapos sa 19th Congress.
"Going further, the best way forward is to go into trial, to determine if there is a conviction or acquittal," pahabol pa ni Lacson.
Samantala, inaasahang sa darating na Hunyo 11 ay gugulong na ang impeachment ng bise-presidente sa pamamagitan ng pagbasa article of impeachment.
