Pumalag si Congresswoman-elect Leila de Lima sa naging pahayag ni Vice President Sara Duterte tungkol sa isa umanong madugong impeachment trial na nakaamba laban sa kaniya.
Sa Facebook post ni De Lima nitong Linggo, Mayo 18, 2025, tahasan niyang iginiit na wala raw lugar ang karahasan sa isang “constitutional process.”
“Diyan naman sila magaling eh: braggadocio, mindless arrogance, toxic rhetoric, violence,” ani De lima.
Dagdag pa niya, “To stress, an impeachment trial is not a show of brute force but a sacrosanct constitutional process of accountability. No room for chaos, drama, and theatrics that Sara asked her defense team to orchestrate. Contempt ang naghihintay sa kanila if they even dare to.”

Iginiit din ni De Lima na seryosong usapin umano ang impeachment kung kaya’t hindi maaaring basta-basta na lang daw magsabi na magkaroon ng pagdanak ng dugo.
“In an impeachment trial, the only one who is on trial is the person impeached. So there can be no bloodbath. If any blood is spilled, it can only be that of the person impeached, not the prosecutors', not the senators-judges', not the administration's, not the people's. We will make sure of that,” aniya.
Matatandaang noong Sabado, Mayo 17, nang igiit ni VP Sara nagusto umano niyang matuloy ang nakabinbin niyang impeachment trials sa Senado.
"Sinabihan ko na rin talaga sila. I truly want a trial because I want a bloodbath talaga,” anang Pangalawang Pangulo.

Sa buwan ng Hulyo pagkatapos ng State of the Nation Address (SONA) ng Pangulo magsisimula ang tuloy-tuloy na pag-usad ng impeachment ni VP Sara sa Senado, batay sa kumpirmasyon noon ni Senate President Chiz Escudero.
