Nakikiramay si senatorial aspirant Kiko Pangilinan sa pagpanaw ng batikang mamamahayag na si Johnny Dayang noong Abril 29.
Si Dayang ay pinatay sa loob ng kaniyang bahay sa Kalibo, Aklan, habang nanonood ng telebisyon.

"On behalf of Sharon and our family, my deepest condolences go to Johnny Dayang’s loved ones and to his colleagues in the media who have lost a staunch advocate for truth and justice," saad ni Pangilinan sa isang pahayag nitong Biyernes, Mayo 2.

"At 89, he was a man who dedicated his life to speaking out against wrongdoing. To attack a man of his age is not just an act of violence but a cowardly assault on truth and freedom of expression.
"Especially with the election season underway, we demand an end to the cycle of violence that threatens our democracy and the lives of our people. The authorities must bring those responsible for Johnny Dayang’s death to justice.
"In this era of disinformation, let us continue to honor his work by ensuring that the truth remains unstoppable, no matter the forces that seek to silence it. Nakikiramay po," dagdag pa niya.
