Pinaalalahanan ni Catholic Bishop's Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) President Pablo Virgilio Cardinal David ang publiko hinggil sa paggawa at pagpapakalat umano ng mga campaign videos na may kaugnayan sa nakatakdang conclave sa Vatican.
Sa pamamagitan ng Facebook post noong Biyernes, Abril 25, 2025, iginiit niyang ang pagpili umano ng susunod na Santo Papa ay hindi isang "political contest."
"Let us remember that the election of a pope is not a political contest but a spiritual discernment. While it is natural to have hopes or preferences for certain personalities, we are ultimately invited to trust in the work of the Holy Spirit and the solemn responsibility entrusted to the College of Cardinals," anang Cardinal.
Ang conclave ang tawag sa proseso ng eleksyong isinasagawa ng mga Cardinal sa Vatican upang pumili ng susunod na pinuno ng simbahang Katolika.

Dagdag pa niya, "The conclave is a sacred moment, guided not by popularity or strategy, but by prayer, humility, and the collective listening of the Church’s shepherds to God’s will."
Ipinaliwanag din niya na ang pagpapakalat umano ng mga campaign videos para sa Cardinal na napupusuan daw ng publiko ay maaaring makaapekto sa nasabing sagradong proseso.
"It may inadvertently pressure or politicize the conscience of the electors, and distract from the silence and prayer needed to truly hear the voice of the Spirit," ani David.
Hinikayat din niya ang publiko na ipanalangin na lamang daw ang nakatakdang conclave ng mga Cardinal.
"Instead, let us accompany the electors with our prayers, not our preferences. Let us fast from speculation and feast on hope," aniya.
