Ipinaabot ni Kitty Duterte ang kaniyang pangungulila sa kaniyang amang si dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na kasalukuyang nakadetine sa International Criminal Court (ICC) sa The Hague, Netherlands dahil sa kasong “krimen laban sa sangkatauhan.”
Sa isang Instagram post nitong Linggo, Marso 30, nagbahagi si Kitty ng isang larawan noong bata pa lamang siya kasama si FPRRD.
“[Da], it wouldn’t bother me one bit if i had to send you letters every single day, because i know how much you love them. i know how you appreciate my hideous penmanship, because it’s exactly like yours,” aniya sa kaniyang post.
“[T]he world doesn’t know the side of you that keeps all his little girl’s letters hung up on his wall, even to this day. and to think i am turning 21 now, but you display those decade old papers like they’re trophies.”

Inihayag din ni Kitty kung gaano raw kabuting ama si FPRRD sa kanila: “I wish i could show them what a wonderful father you are, because the pictures, the videos, don’t give any justice. not even close, not at all.”
“[I]t’s safe to say i’m one of the loneliest these days, because i’m pretty sure i’m the only one left who’s used to sleeping beside you at 20 years old. the room is so different now, without the loud snoring and the sleep talking in bisaya. i have no one to fight over the aircon temperature, the tv volume or which lights to leave on,” aniya.
“[I] am thinking of you everyday dada, not just me, but the millions of people with this immense love for you. we will be waiting for your return home!” saad pa ni Kitty.
Matatandaang nagpunta si Kitty kasama ang kaniyang inang si Honeylet sa The Hague noong Marso 26 para sa ika-80 kaarawan ni FPRRD noong Biyernes, Marso 28.

Noong Marso 11 nang arestuhin si FPRRD at dinala sa kustodiya ng ICC dahil sa kasong “krimen laban sa sangkatauhan” kaugnay ng madugong giyera kontra droga ng kaniyang administrasyon.
