Nagbigay ng reaksiyon si Commission on Election (Comelec) Chairman George Garcia sa nag-viral na “It’s Showtime Sexy Babe” contestant na si Heart Aquino na hindi raw alam ang pag-iral ng nasabing komisyon at hindi pa rin nakakaboto.
Sa ulat ng GMA Integrated News nitong Lunes, Marso 3, sinabi ni Garcia na iniimbitahan daw nila si Heart upang paliwanagan at pangaralan tungkol sa silbi ng Comelec.
“We fully understand her. Maaring madami pa na katulad niya na kabataan o mga Pilipino. It is our solemn duty to explain who we are and what we are doing,” saad ni Garcia.
Dagdag pa niya, ““If she is converted as a believer then we can perhaps do the same for others. Voter education is the key,” said Garcia. “It is our failure we have to rectify.”
Matatandaang umani ng negatibong komento mula sa mga netizen ang pag-aming ito ni Heart sa national tv. Ayon nga mismo kay “It’s Showtime” Vice Ganda, “Oh my gosh, that's bothersome.”
