Iginiit ni Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesperson Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo na hindi umano maaaring pangalanan ang ilang “senior officials” na sakay umano ng convoy na dumaan sa EDSA busway noong Martes, Pebrero 25, 2025. 

Sa ipinadalang text message ni Fajardo sa ilang reporters nitong Miyerkules ng umaga, Pebrero 26, nilinaw niyang “for security reasons” umano ang dahilan kung bakit hindi raw maaaring pangalanan ang mga opisyales na sakay ng nasabing convoy.

“For security reasons, we cannot divulge the identities of those in the convoy. What we can confirm is that these are senior officers holding sensitive positions,” ani Fajardo.

Matatandaang inulan din ng samu’t saring reaksiyon ang naturang pagdaan umano ng convoy ng PNP sa EDSA busway sa kahabaan ng Ortigas lane.

Dagdag pa ni Fajardo, patungo raw sa Camp Crame ang naturang convoy kung saan kinakailangan ang “urgent presence” ng ilang senior officers na sakay nito. 

“This convoy was headed to Camp Crame because there is a close-door meeting that requires the urgent presence of these officers,” anang PNP spokesperson. 

Saad pa ni Fajardo, “We understand the comments coming out about what happened. That’s why, we say that the PNP is the first to respect the policies we implement relating to traffic rules.”
