Muling iginiit ng human rights group Karapatan ang panawagan nilang i-disbar si dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte matapos nilang malamang kasama ito sa mga legal counsel ng anak niyang si Vice President Sara Duterte sa petisyong harangin ang impeachment complaint sa Kongreso.
Matatandaang noong Enero 17, 2025 nang ihain ng mga kaanak ng mga biktima ng paglabag sa karapatang pantao at human rights activists ang disbarment complaint laban kay DPRRD dahil sa walang habas umano nitong paglabag sa Canons in the Code of Professional Conduct and Accountability (CPRA).
Sa isang pahayag nitong Huwebes, Pebrero 20, sinabi ng Karapatan na sinisira umano ni Duterte ang integridad ng legal na propesyon at hindi siya karapat-dapat na maging abogado.
“It is distressing that he continues his practice, and this time in the petition of his daughter at the Supreme Court. This is why the Court must act with expediency in resolving the disbarment complaint against Rodrigo Duterte,” anang Karapatan.

Muli ring ipinanawagan ng human rights group sa Senado na simulan na ang pagdinig sa naipasa ng House of Representatives na impeachment complaint laban kay Duterte.
“We are one with former Bayan Muna Rep. Neri Colmenares in his letter pressing for a special session of the Senate to proceed with the impeachment and in fulfilling its obligation according to the Philippine Constitution,” giit ng Karapatan.
“We remain steadfast in our support for the people’s demand to hold the Dutertes accountable for human rights violations, corruption and other crimes, as we persist in exposing and opposing the Marcos Jr. administration’s accountability for the same high crimes against the Filipino people,” saad pa nito.
Matatandaang noong Miyerkules nang kumpirmahin ng Korte Suprema na pinetisyon mismo ni VP Sara ang kinahaharap niyang impeachment cases, partikular na ang ikaapat na ipinasa ng Kamara sa Senado.
