Sa pamamagitan ng text message nitong Lunes, Pebrero 17, 2025, nagbigay ng komento si Pimentel hinggil sa naging pahaging ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa umano'y planong pagpatay sa 15 senador upang makapasok sa senado ang walong kandidato ng PDP-Laban.

"Let the Department of Justice (DOJ) and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) do their work. They should know if given the facts whether a crime has been committed or not. If there is no crime whatsoever then let us drop the issue," ani Pimentel.

Bagama't walang pinangalanang tao, iginiit din ng senador na tila maituturing na "personality disorder" ang umano'y taong malimit daw magbanta sa buhay ng kaniyang kapuwa.
"A person's obsession with the topic of death and killing, mentioning it every time he or she speaks, is a worrying sign of a serious personality disorder," anang senador.
