“Another day, another digitally manipulated photo designed to deceive the public...”
Nagbabala ang House of Representatives hinggil sa kumakalat sa social media na minanipulang larawan ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez kasama ang iba pang mga mambabatas habang may kaharap na limpak-limpak na salapi sa mesa.
Sa isang Facebook post nitong Huwebes, Pebrero 6, ibinahagi ng HOR Fact-Check ang screenshot ng isang post kung saan makikita ang minanipulang larawan ni Romualdez kasama sina Senior Deputy Majority Leader Sandro Marcos, Majority Leader Mannix Dalipe at TESDA Dir. Kiko Benitez, sa Kongreso.
“After impeachment… If the price is right everything is alright,” nakasaad pa sa post na tinawag ng HOR na “fake news.”

Ibinahagi rin ng HOR ang actual photo ng mga mambabatas kung saan makikitang walang pera na nakalagay sa mesa ng mga ito.
“Another day, another digitally manipulated photo designed to deceive the public. The first image circulating online is a maliciously edited and fake version of an actual meeting Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez had with colleagues in Congress,” anang HOR Fact-Check.
“The truth? The original photos show a productive and cordial discussion—no stacks of cash, no fabricated narratives.”
Kaugnay nito, hinikayat ng HOR ang publikong huwag magpabiktima ng maling impormasyon at maging mapanuri sa kanilang mga nababasa sa social media.
“The spread of disinformation like this is a dangerous threat to democracy and responsible governance. It erodes trust, manipulates public perception, and distracts from real issues that affect our nation. We must be vigilant against those who twist reality for their own agenda,” saad ng HOR.
“We urge everyone to verify before sharing, think critically, and reject fake news. Let’s uphold integrity in cyberspace,” dagdag pa nito.
Ang naturang post ng HOR ay matapos i-impeach ng House of Representatives si Vice President Sara Duterte nang lumagda rito ang 215 mambabatas.
