Pinarangalan at kinilala ng Senado ang kontribusyon sa bansa nina dating Pangulong Joseph "Erap" Estrada at dating Senadora Loi Ejercito-Estrada sa pamamagitan ng isang resolusyon, Martes, Pebrero 4.

Mababasa sa post sa opisyal na Facebook page ng Senate of the Philippines, "The chamber adopted Resolutions 250 and 251, as senators commended former President Estrada and his wife for their contributions to the country, particularly their advocacy for poor Filipinos and their defense of sovereignty."

Binasa naman ni Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Ejercito-Estrada ang talumpati ng kaniyang ama.

"I am grateful to my colleagues, both past and present, for the lessons learned and the friendships formed," the former President said in accepting the Senate's recognition."
