Muling iginiit ng Malacañang na hindi makikialam si Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sa nakahaing impeachment complaints laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte dahil ito raw ay “prerogative” lamang ng House of Representatives.
Sinabi ito ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin sa isang pahayag nitong Lunes ng gabi, Pebrero 4.
“The power to initiate and act on impeachment complaints is the sole prerogative of the House,” ani Bersamin.
“Out of respect for institutions, the President will not interfere in a matter over which a co-equal branch has exclusive jurisdiction,” saad pa niya.

Matatandaang noong Enero 24 nang itanggi rin ni Bersamin na hinaharangan ni Marcos ang hakbang na pagpapatalsik kay Duterte matapos iginiit ni ACT Teachers Party-list Rep. France Castro na hindi dapat makialam ang pangulo sa proseso ng impeachment.
