Ipinahayag ni Vice President Sara Duterte na isang debosyon ang Pista ng Jesus Nazareno upang ipakita ng mga mananampalataya ang “pagpapakumbaba, kabaitan, at kahabagan” para sa kanilang kapwa at maging sa mga “umuusig” daw sa kanila.
Sa kaniyang mensahe sa gitna ng isinasagawang Traslacion nitong Huwebes, Enero 9, 2025, nagpaabot ng pakikiisa si Duterte sa pagdiriwang ang Pista ng Jesus Nazareno.
“Today, we celebrate the Feast of the Black Nazarene with solemn reverence and gratitude for God's enduring love for us.”
“The Black Nazarene is a manifestation that we will never face the challenges that come our way alone - because God is constantly guiding us, walking with us, and carrying the cross for us on the way to salvation," ani Duterte.

Sinabi rin ng bise presidente na isang testamento ang debosyon sa Jesus Nazareno ng kanilang pagtitiwala sa himala ng Panginoon na nagbibigay sa mga bawat isa ng lakas, tapang, at inspirasyon upang maging matatag sa buhay.
“Our devotion to the Black Nazarene is a testament to our profound trust in God's miracles that have become the spring that gives us the strength, courage, and the inspiration to be resilient as we hold fast to our faith and overcome the challenges coming our way,” ani Duterte.
“We are also called to show humility, kindness, and mercy to everyone in need, even to those who persecute us.”
