Nagsalita na rin ang actor-singer na si James Reid kaugnay sa pagkatanggal ng dati niyang business partner na si Jeffrey Oh sa pinangangasiwaan nilang Careless.
Sa latest episode ng “Ogie Diaz Inspires” nitong Martes, Setyembre 17, sinabi ni James na nalansihan daw siya ni Jeffrey sa mahabang panahong nakatrabaho niya ang huli.
“I had no idea a lot of this was happening. It was actually happening for months and had kept me separate from the rest of my team. It had kept me in the dark about all of these business dealings. Telling me, ‘Oh, nothing’s happening. I’ll let you know blah blah,’” lahad ni James.
“And it wasn’t until I came forth about and I finally met with attorney [Rodel de Guzman] and explained to him all of the business dealings that I had with him [Jeffrey] and all the relationship I had with Jeff. How much money he owed me. The contract that he never gave me,” wika niya.

Dagdag pa niya: “Finally when all of that came out, his official recommendation to terminate him. Give him a chance to sign those contracts and make those deals right and wala. He left. So, he tricked me. I’ve been working with him for a very long time. And it turns out he wasn’t the person who he said he was.”
Sa paliwanag ng abogado ni Atty. De Guzman, ginamit umano ni Jeffrey ang Careless at iba pang kompanya ni James nang hindi nila alam.
Umabot umano ang mga nagastos nito sa higit isandaang milyon. Ngunit may mga bago pa rin daw itong obligasyon pinasok kahit noong sinabihan na raw nito ito.
Matatandaang naiulat noong Setyembre 2023 ang tungkol sa pag-aresto kay Jeffrey dahil sa umano’y pagnenegosyo nito sa bansa nang walang mga dokumento na labag sa immigration law ng Pilipinas.
