Ibinahagi ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. na ang nag-iisang tagubilin niya sa bagong kalihim ng Presidential Communications Office (PCO) na si Cesar Chavez ay ang palaging sabihin ang katotohanan.
Sa isang Facebook post ni Marcos, makikita ang ilang mga larawan ng naging panunumpa ni Chavez sa posisyon nitong Huwebes, Setyembre 5.
“I am the sixth president that he has served, which speaks volumes of the man’s capabilities. In these six successive administrations, he has performed exceedingly well in various positions in government. We even worked alongside each other as former members of the 1992 Congress,” ani Marcos.
Ayon pa sa pangulo, nagtitiwala siyang ipagpapatuloy ni Chavez ang pagsisilbing ipinakita niya sa mahigit tatlong dekadang pagseserbisyo-publiko.

“I have full trust that he will continue to serve with the same dedication and excellence that he has demonstrated in over three decades of public service; ensuring that the work we do is communicated effectively and immediately to the Filipino people,” ani Marcos.
“My only instruction to him : Just tell the truth. Congratulations, Cesar. It has come full circle for you,” saad pa niya.
Pinalitan ni Chavez si outgoing PCO Secretary Cheloy Garafil na itinalaga ni Marcos na mamuno sa Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO).
