Akbayan, pinatutsadahan si VP Sara: 'Puro angas, pero walang talas!'

Pinatutsadahan ng Akbayan Party ang naging aksyon ni Vice President Sara Duterte sa isinagawang pagdinig ng Kamara kamakailan hinggil sa 2025 proposed budget ng Office of the Vice President (OVP), kung saan isiniwalat umano ng bise presidente ang kaniyang pagiging “incompetent leader.”

“Congratulations, VP Sara, for finally and fully exposing yourself to the Filipino people as the inept official that you are—full of fury and noise, but devoid of substance. Puro angas, pero walang talas," ani Akbayan Party President Rafaela David sa isang pahayag nitong Huwebes, Agosto 29.

"Your meltdown in Congress was not just an embarrassment, but a direct affront to our democratic institutions and the people's pursuit of truth and accountability,” dagdag niya.

Samantala, binatikos din ng pangulo ng Akbayan, demokratikong sosyalistang partido ni Senador Risa Hontiveros, ang bise presidente dahil sa pagtanggi nitong sagutin ang mga tanong mula sa mga mambabatas, partikular ang tungkol sa kontrobersyal na ₱125 million confidential funds ng kaniyang opisina noong 2022, kung saan kinumpirma ng Commission on Audit (COA) na nagkaroon ng iregularidad at nais ipabalik sa OVP ang mahigit ₱73 million para umano sa disallowed funds.

"Her outburst only confirms what we have long suspected—that she is an incompetent leader, unworthy of public office. VP Sara has shown the nation her blatant and selfish disregard for the principles of checks and balances. Instead of offering transparency, she has chosen to shield herself with arrogance and anger—tactics that fall short even by the standards of her father's notorious legacy,” ani David.

"We deserve better than leaders who lash out in anger in the face of valid public scrutiny. It is time for us to stand united in rejecting officials who fail to uphold the values of transparency, accountability, and good governance. Let us demand leaders who are committed to serving with integrity and who truly respect the power entrusted to them by the people,” saad pa niya.

Matatandaang sa naging pagdinig ng Kamara noong Martes, Agosto 27, tumanggi si Duterte na sagutin ang ilang mga katanungan ng mga mambabatas hinggil sa hiling nilang ₱2.037 billion budget ng OVP para sa 2025 at maging hinggil sa 2022 confidential funds ng kanilang opisina.

Sa naturang pagdinig ay nagkainitan din sina Duterte at ACT Teacher’s party-list Rep. France Castro matapos magtanong ng huli tungkol sa paggamit ng naturang confidential funds ng OVP, ngunit hindi ito sinagot ng una.
