Sinuspinde ng Malacañang ang mga klase sa mga pampublikong paaralan, at trabaho sa mga ahensya ng gobyeno sa National Capital Region (NCR) ngayong Miyerkules, Agosto 28.
Ito'y dahil sa maaaring epekto ng patuloy na pag-ulan dulot ng Southwest Monsoon o hanging Habagat.
"Due to the ongoing and the forecasted rainfall today, August 28, 2024, which will bring occasional rains with possible flashfloods over Metro Manila caused by the Southwest Monsoon, the NDRRMC recommends the suspension of classes and work within the National Capital Region (NCR)," ayon sa rekomendasyon ng NDRRMC na inaprubahan ng Malacañang.
"Likewise, the same course of action for private companies, offices, and schools is left to the discretion of their respective heads. This excludes frontline agencies engaged in emergency services," dagdag pa nila.

Samantala, nauna na ring nagkansela ng klase ang ilang local government unit sa Metro Manila.
