Pinalagan ng dating senador na si Leila De Lima ang inilabas na opisyal na pahayag ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte kaugnay sa ginawang paghalughog ng kapulisan sa Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) compound sa Davao City nitong Agosto 24, para dakpin ang akusadong si Pastor Apollo Quiboloy sa patong-patong nitong kaso.

Kinondena ni Duterte ang naging paglusob ng Philippine National Police (PNP) sa compound, sa pangunguna ni Gen. Nicolas Torre III, na naging dahilan ng pagkamatay ng ilang miyembro ng KOJC na itinatag ni Quiboloy.

Nakikisimpatya umano ang dating pangulo sa mga miyembro ng KOJC na nakaranas at naging biktima ng political harassments, persecution, violence, at abuse of authority.

Kaya naman, may panawagan si Duterte sa sambayanang Pilipino.

Ibinahagi naman ni De Lima ang opisyal na pahayag ni Duterte.

Matatandaang si De Lima ay isa sa mga kritiko ni dating Pangulong Duterte, at kamakailan lamang ay nakalaya at naabsuwelto na siya sa mga kaso matapos masangkot sa ilegal na droga, sa panahon ng administrasyon ng dating pangulo.
