Naglabas ng pahayag ang Technological University of the Philippines-Manila (TUP-Manila) matapos makatanggap ng batikos dahil sa pagpapatupad ng istriktong polisiya kaugnay sa buhok at pananamit ng mga mag-aaral.
Sa Facebook post ng TUP-Manila University School Government (TUP USG Manila) nitong Lunes, Agosto 19, sinabi nila na mananatili umanong matatag ang kanilang commitment sa paglilingkod sa mga estudyante.
“Rest assured that the student body has already taken action, beforehand the matter gained widespread attention. We are in the progress of discussing terms with the concerned offices and shall release updates on our Facebook page as they become available,” saad ng organisasyon.
“While we acknowledge and understand your sentiments, we are with the students. To clarify, the recent announcement was issued solely for information dissemination and should not be construed as an endorsement of the policies in question,” dugtong pa nila.

Sa huli, hiningi ng TUP ang pang-unawa at pakikiisa ng lahat para sa inilalaan nilang pagsisikap na bumuo ng mas mabuting komunidad.
Anila: “We ask for your understanding and participation in our efforts to building a better community.”
Matatandaang inulan ng batikos ang TUP matapos nilang ipagbawal sa loob ng unibersidad ang pagsusuot ng shorts, crop top, sleeveless, slippers, pagkakaroon ng mahabang buhok ng mga lalaki, pagkakaroon ng kulay ng buhok mapa-babae man o lalaki, at pagko-crossdress.
