Ganap nang nagwakas ang “UniTeam” matapos magbitiw ni Vice President Sara Duterte bilang kalihim ng Department of Education at miyembro ng gabinete ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., ayon kay Albay 1st district Rep. Edcel Lagman.
Sa isang pahayag nitong Miyerkules, Hunyo 19, sinabi ni Lagman na umaasa siyang magdudulot ang naging pagbibitiw ni Duterte bilang DepEd secretary ng solusyon sa “nakababahalang krisis” sa edukasyon sa Pilipinas.
“No less than Vice President Duterte herself said that her resignation is ‘dala ng tunay na malasakit para sa ating mga guro at kabataang Pilipino’, which means that her incumbency was a liability to teachers and students,” ani Lagman.
“It is hoped that her replacement will come from the ranks of experienced and dedicated educators who can efficiently steer and professionally manage the educational system of the country,” dagdag niya.
VP Sara sa pagbibitiw bilang DepEd Secretary: ‘Hindi lulan ng kahinaan’
Samantala, iginiit din ng mambabatas na ang naturang pagbibitiw ni Duterte ay ang ganap na pagwawakas ng UniTeam, ang tambalang BBM-Sara noong 2022 national elections.
“Duterte’s departure from a prime position in the President’s Cabinet ends with finality the increasingly tenuous partisan relations between the Duterte and Marcos political power blocs. This terminates absolutely the Uniteam,” saad ni Lagman.
Matatandaang nitong Miyerkules, Hunyo 19, nang magbitiw si VP Sara bilang DepEd secretary dala umano ng tunay niyang malasakit para sa mga guro at kabataang Pilipino.
