Mas lumakas pa ang bagyong Aghon at isa na itong ganap na “severe tropical storm,” ayon sa Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) dakong 5:00 ng hapon nitong Linggo, Mayo 26.

Sa tala ng PAGASA, huling namataan ang severe tropical storm Aghon sa coastal waters ng Mauban, Quezon.

Taglay nito ang lakas ng hanging aabot sa 95 kilometers per hour malapit sa sentro at pagbugsong aabot sa 130 kilometers per hour.

Mabagal na kumikilos ang bagyo pahilagang-silangan.

Dahil dito, nakataas ang Signal No. 3 sa silangang bahagi ng Quezon (Infanta, Real, Mauban) kabilang na ang Polillo Islands (Panukulan, Burdeos, Patnanungan, at Polillo).

“Moderate to significant impacts from storm-force winds are possible within any of the areas where Wind Signal No. 3 is hoisted,” anang PAGASA.

Base sa forecast track ng weather bureau, inaasahang lalakas pa ang bagyo at aabot sa “typhoon” category bukas ng tanghali, Lunes, Mayo 27.
