Muling hinatulang “guilty” ng Korte Suprema si Presidential Adviser for Poverty Alleviation Larry Gadon sa kasong “gross misconduct.”
Sa desisyong inilabas nitong Huwebes, Mayo 23, sinabi ng Korte Suprema na ang naturang hatol laban sa na-disbar kamakailan na si Gadon ay may kaugnayan sa pagsagawa nito ng “perjury” at sa pagbitiw umano ng mga akusasyon base lamang sa mga “sabi-sabi.”
“A complaint was filed before the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) seeking Gadon’s disbarment for falsehoods in an impeachment complaint he had filed against then de facto Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno (Sereno) before the House of Representatives (HOR),” anang Korte Suprema.
Inakusahan din si Gadon ng pagsasampa ng “walang basehang” mga kasong kriminal laban sa ilang mga opisyal ng Korte Suprema.

“After investigation, the IBP – Committee on Bar Discipline recommended that Gadon be suspended for two years after it found that Gadon lied under oath when he claimed that then de facto Chief Justice Sereno falsified a Supreme Court temporary restraining order (TRO). It, however, dismissed for lack of evidence the allegation of baseless cases against Court officials,” saad ng Korte Suprema.
“The IBP – Board of Governors (IBP-BOG) modified to three years the recommended period of suspension. The Supreme Court adopted the findings of the IBP-BOG, but modified the penalty. The Court ruled that Gadon was guilty of gross misconduct punishable by disbarment,” dagdag nito.
Pagka-disbar daw ang isang parusa sa hatol kay Gadon. Ngunit dahil na-disbar na siya noong nakaraang taon, hindi na ito ipapataw sa kaniya, ngunit itatala pa rin daw ito sa kanyiang personal na file.
Bukod dito, pinagmumulta rin si Gadon ng ₱150,000 at hinatulan na hindi karapat-dapat para sa judicial clemency.
Matatandaang noong Hunyo 2023 nang i-disbar ng Korte Suprema si Gadon kaugnay sa kaniyang video sa social media kung saan pinagmumura nito ang mamamahayag na si Raissa Robles noong Disyembre 2021.
Samantala, noong Hulyo 2023 nang italaga ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. si Gadon bilang Presidential Adviser for Poverty Alleviation.
