Nagbigay ng pahayag ang Department of Education (DepEd) kaugnay sa pamamaslang sa 10-anyos na estudyante sa Tupi, South Cotabato.
Ayon sa Facebook post ng DepEd nitong Sabado, Mayo 11, papauuwi na raw ang bata sa bahay nito mula sa paaralan nang mangyari ang insidente.
“DepEd extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved family, friends, and classmates of the victim during this time of grief,” saad ng ahensya.
“We thank the Philippine National Police (PNP) for its immediate response in pursuing the suspected perpetrator,” anila.

Dagdag pa ng DepEd: “There is simply no place for such brutality in our society. We reiterate our call to local authorities to strengthen efforts in ensuring the safety and security in our communities.”
Matatandaang kamakailan lang ay naghayag ng pagkaalarma ang ahensya dahil sa mga naitatalang pagpatay sa mga menor de edad.
