Inanunsyo ni Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, na na-diagnose siya na may cancer at sumasailalim sa early stages ng chemotherapy.
Sa isang video message nitong Biyernes, Marso 22, na inulat ng Agence France-Presse, sinabi ni Kate, 42-anyos, na ikinagulat nila ang pagkadiskubreng may cancer siya matapos ang matagumpay niyang “abdominal surgery” noong Enero.
"In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present,” ani Kate.
“My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment,” dagdag pa niya.
King Charles III, na-diagnose na may cancer
Gayunpaman, bumubuti na raw ang kaniyang kalagayan sa paglipas ng mga araw.
“I am well and getting stronger everyday by focusing on the things that will help me heal, in my mind, body and spirit,” saad ng prinsesa.
Hindi naman na idinetalye ni ang tungkol sa “nature” ng kaniyang cancer.
Si Kate ay may tatlong anak sa asawang si Prince William, ang tagapagmana ng trono ni King Charles III.
Samantala, matatandaang noong Pebrero lamang ay inihayag ng royal officials na nagpapagaling si King Charles III mula sa cancer.
