Ipatatanggal daw ang mga estrukturang nasa paligid ng Chocolate Hills upang ibalik ito sa natural nitong kaayusan ayon kay Department of Environment and Natural Resources Secretary Maria Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga noong Huwebes, Marso 21.
Sa kaniyang pagbisita sa kontroberisyal na Peak Resort sa Bohol, sinabi ni Loyzaga na kailangan umanong maisagawa agad ang restoration dahil sa panganib na dulot ng mga itinayong estruktura sa ecology ng lugar.
“Looking at this, it is very possible that all of these will have to be demolished and restored because there is a disturbance in the ecology that should not have happened. The restoration needs to happen,” saad ni Loyzaga.
Dagdag pa ng kalihim: “We acknowledge that we need sources of livelihood, it is important to the economy. We have different framing not only for ecotourism but also conservation tourism.”
