Nagpahayag ng pasasalamat ang international award-winning journalist at news frontliner na si Jiggy Manicad at humingi ng gabay sa Diyos sa kaniya umanong pagbabalik sa balitaan, makaraang pumirma siya ng kontrata sa TV5 nitong Huwebes, Disyembre 7.

Sa kaniyang Facebook post, nagbahagi si Jiggy ng ilang mga larawan sa naganap na contract signing sa nasabing network.

“Mahal na Poong Hesus Nazareno, In prayer, I asked, if You still wanted me to speak. Immediately, three talk invitations came. Then you sent angels and messengers to ask me, to step out of my happy, peaceful shell– aka retirement,” ani Jiggy sa kaniyang post.

“I initially doubted myself whether I still have it in me. But within a few days, you reignited that fire and hunger to do excellent work, as if I was in my 20s.

“Lord, as you have known me, I do not ask for fame, fortune, nor power. But I humbly ask Your guidance so I may be able to accomplish the work You assigned me, employing the gifts You gave me.

“I humbly ask You to always remind me to forget myself in serving others, take up Your cross in doing difficult and challenging tasks, and follow Your lead. In doing so, guide me to follow Your Holy Will, let Your will be done, and bring all the glory, back to You. This I ask in Jesus' powerful name.”

Simula sa Enero 8, 2024, magbabalita na umano si Jiggy bilang pangatlong news anchor sa primetime newscast ng TV5 na “Frontline Pilipinas,” kasama sina Cheryl Cosim at Julius Babao.

“Jiggy is an exemplar of earnest, do-all-possible, get-to-the-bottom everyday reporting that broadcast journalists should follow. News5 can only get stronger with Jiggy in the team. He will up our game a couple of notches,” ani Luchi Cruz-Valdes, head ng News and Information ng TV5.

Matatandaang mula 1995 hanggang 2018, naging bahagi si Jiggy ng GMA News bilang anchor at host ng mga programang tulad ng 24 Oras Weekend, Reporter's Notebook, at Quick Response Team ng GMA News TV.

Taong 2019 naman nang tumakbo siya bilang senador sa ilalim ng Hugpong ng Pagbabago, isang regional party na pinamunuan ni dating Davao City mayor at ngayo’y Vice President Sara Duterte.

Pagkatapos nito, bumalik si Manicad sa pagho-host ng “Agripreneur” sa GMA.
