Matatandaang huminto ang Miss U journey ni MMD sa Top 10, sa evening gown competition kung saan nairampa niya ang "Apo Whang-Od-inspired evening gown na talaga namang pinusuan ng lahat.

Kung hinayaan nga raw na makapasok sa Top 5 si Michelle at pinasagot sa Q&A portions ay tiyak na manlalamon daw siya ng mikropono, at kayang-kaya niyang pataubin ang mga kalaban.

Kalakasan daw ni MMD ang pagsagot sa tanong na una na niyang pinasilip sa kaparehong programa.

Kaya sa pag-uwi ni Michelle sa Pilipinas matapos salubungin, agad siyang kinapanayam ng King of Talk.

Tanong: "If you could live one year in another woman’s shoes, who would you choose and why?"

Sagot ni MMD, "If I could choose in any woman's shoes, it would be Apo Whang-od. She's an amazing symbol of cultural preservation. ...She has been defying boundaries, stereotypes, and that is something that I have tried to inspire everybody around me as well, which is to hone your unique story, own your traditions, love where you came from, love who you're surrounded with."

"And truly with that unique story, you can make your country proud, you can show the universe what your country has to offer and in my case, my love for our country can really shake the whole universe as well."

Si Miss Nicaragua Sheynnis Palacios ang kinoronahang Miss Universe 2023 at si Anntonia Porsild ng Thailand na malapit kay Michelle ang first runner-up.
