Inilunsad ng Cultural Center of the Philippines Film, Broadcast, and New Media Division ang 8th edition ng CCP Cine Icons sa GSIS Theatre nitong Biyernes, Nobyembre 24, sa tulong ng Government Service Insurance System at ABS-CBN Sagip Pelikula.

Tampok sa nasabing edisyon ang restored version ng pelikulang “Karnal” na idinirek ng namayapang National Artist na si Marilou Diaz-Abaya at isinulat naman ni National Artist Ricky Lee.

Bahagi ito ng pakikiisa ng CCP sa “18-Day Campaign to End Violence against Women”.

“The Cultural Center of the Philippines takes its stance and support to every Juana and Puring to pave the way toward a VAW-free Philippines as part of its Gender and Development initiative,” pahayag ng CCP Film, Broadcast and New Media sa kanilang Facebook page.
