Inihayag ni Deputy Minority leader at ACT Teachers Party-list Rep. France Castro nitong Huwebes, Nobyembre 16, na mayroong usap-usapan sa pagitan ng ilang mga kongresista hinggil sa posible umanong “impeachment" laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte.

Gayunpaman, mabilis na binanggit ng Makabayan solon na "hindi seryoso" ang naturang impeachment talks laban sa bise presidente.

"The supposed talks on impeachment now are mere discussions of some congressmen and not a serious move against Vice President Sara Duterte," ani Castro sa isang pahayag.

"As it is though, we in the Makabayan bloc think that impeachment talks now are still premature but it highlights the growing rift in the supposed UniTeam.”

"What we need now from VP Duterte is to explain how she spent her illegal ₱125 million confidential funds in 2022," dagdag pa niya.

Ang naturang ₱125 million confidential funds noong 2022 na binanggit ni Castro ay ang special funds ng Office of the Vice President (OVP) na ginastos umano sa loob ng 11 araw noong Disyembre noong nakaraang taon.

"Ang dami nang nangyari mula Agosto hanggang ngayon ay di pa din sinasagot ni VP Duterte saan niya ginastos ang ₱125 milyon na confidential funds sa loob lang ng 11 araw. Sana naman ay sagutin na niya ngayon," saad ni Castro.

Nagsimula ang budget process sa Kamara para sa pagpapasa ng 2024 spending plan noong Agosto.
