“Saturn’s perplexing hexagon. 🤔”
Ibinahagi ng National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) ang isang kamangha-manghang larawan ng planetang Saturn na napitikan umano ng kanilang Cassini spacecraft noong 2014.
Sa isang Instagram post, inihayag ng NASA na nakuhanan ng Cassini spacecraft wide-angle camera ang Saturn noong Mayo 4, 2014.
”A massive cloud pattern in the shape of a hexagon sits at Saturn's north pole. A trove of images by the Cassini probe that orbited Saturn from 2004-2017 revealed some answers about it, but not all of them,” anang NASA.

Dagdag nito, ang “hurricane-like vortex” ng Saturn ay may matang halos 50 beses na mas malaki kaysa sa isang tipikal na Earth hurricane.
Mayroon din umano itong maximum wind speed na halos doble kaysa sa pinakamalakas na bagyo sa Earth.
“What’s odd is that the sides of the hexagon are roughly symmetrical and ordered in a geometric pattern, something not often seen with Earth weather,” saad ng NASA.
“The vortex exists only at the north pole, not in the south, and scientists don’t know why,” dagdag pa nito.
