“The Office of the Vice President informs the public that Vice President Sara Duterte was not involved in the traffic disruption caused by the closure of a portion of Commonwealth Avenue by the Quezon City Police Office,” paglilinaw naman ng OVP nitong Huwebes ng gabi.
Inihayag din ng OVP na nasa Mindanao umano si Duterte noong Huwebes para sa pagdiriwang ng World Teachers’ Day at iba pang mga aktibidad.
“The Vice President did not ask QCPD and will never ask government agencies, including law enforcement bodies, to carry out actions that would inconvenience the public or cause them harm,” anang OVP.
“The Vice President will always put the interest and welfare of the public over her own personal interest and privileges.”
“The viral video is spreading injurious information that is grounded in falsity,” pagbibigay-diin pa nito.
“The OVP calls on QCPD to conduct an investigation and hold all those responsible accountable for their action, including the liability of the person who took the video and maliciously appended the traffic stop to the Vice President,” anang OVP.
“It is also expected for QCPD to rectify this error and publicly disclose the VIP involved in the road closure,” saad pa nito.
