Nakumpleto na ng mga health leaders sa Department of Health (DOH) North Luzon ang "Bayang Malusog Regional Leadership Development Program Module 3” na isinagawa ng Zuellig Family Foundation sa Baguio City nito lamang Setyembre 7 at 8.
Sa isang kalatas nitong Lunes, sinabi ng DOH na ang naturang dalawang araw na workshop ay dinaluhan ng mga Assistant Regional Directors, Regional UHC Coordinators, Provincial Health Teram Leaders at Development Management Officers mula sa mga rehiyon ng Ilocos, Cagayan Valley at Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).

Nabatid na kabilang sa mga major topics na ibinahagi sa naturang programa ay team coaching at social innovation para sa kalusugan, na makatutulong sa pagpapasilidad at akselerasyon ng implementasyon ng Universal Health Care (UHC) sa kani-kanilang mga lalawigan.
Ayon kay DOH – Ilocos Assistant Regional Director Rodolfo Antonio M. Albornoz, ang naturang workshop ay mahalaga sa pagkakaloob ng technical assistance, partikular na para sa mga local chief executives (LCEs) para sa layunin nitong mabigyan sila ng gabay sa pagbuo ng mga episyente at matatag na province-wide health systems para sa implementasyon ng UHC.
“Makakatulong ng malaki ang mga competencies and skills that we acquired during the workshop lalo na sa coaching of provincial leaders on how they will organize their structures and processes for UHC. It also provides tools for creating solutions for possible issues and concerns in the development of plans and projects for the community,” aniya.
“Our goal is to develop an efficient and resilient province-wide health system that will realize the full implementation of UHC, especially now that all provinces in the region are already in the implementation process,” ayon naman kay Ilocos Regional UHC Coordinator Laurence G. Navarro.
Dagdag pa niya, “We can now focus on bridging leadership competencies to address complex health issues related to the integration of the different local health systems at the provincial level in order to fully implement UHC and minimize fragmentation in the delivery of health services at the local level.”
Ang “Bayang Malusog Program” ay nakahanay sa isinusulong na National Health Sector Strategy 2023-2028 upang paganahin, pangalagaan, protektahan, at palakasin ang mga institusyon.
Nabatid na nagpakita rin ang mga kalahok ng kanilang sariling best practices, kaugnay sa pagpapatupad ng UHC sa workshop na pinangunahan ng DOH-Cagayan Valley Region.
