VP Sara, ikinalungkot pagpanaw ng Philippine Eagle na si ‘Geothermica’

Ikinalungkot ni Vice President Sara Duterte ang balitang pumanaw na ang Philippine Eagle na si “Geothermica” sa Singapore.

Matatandaang inanunsyo ng Philippine Eagle Foundation (PEF) nitong Sabado, Setyembre 9, ang pagpanaw ni Geothermica dahil sa impeksyon sa baga.

“I am saddened by the news of the passing of Philippine Eagle Geothermica in Singapore Thursday night,” pahayag ni Duterte nitong Linggo, Setyembre 10.

“Known as Geo, his journey was not only of strength and resilience but also a story of friendship between the Philippines and Singapore.”

“Alongside his companion, Sambisig, his life exemplified the Philippines’ commitment to conservation and underscored the importance of safeguarding our planet's biodiversity.” dagdag pa niya.

Nagpasalamat din ang bise presidente sa Mandai Wildlife Group para sa pag-aalaga umano ng mga ito kay Geo; at sa PEF para naman sa kanilang kooperasyon at pagsisikap para maprotektahan at maisalba ang Philippine Eagles.

“In tribute to Geo, I join the call to effect change and carry forward his memory as a story of hope and a lasting commitment to the preservation of endangered species,” saad pa ni Duterte.
