Inilabas ng National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) ang isang kamangha-manghang larawan ng kumpol ng mga bituin sa kailaliman ng Milky Way sa konstelasyon ng Sagittarius.
Sa isang Instagram post, ibinahagi ng NASA na ang naturang kumpol ng mga bituin ay ang “glittering star cluster” ng Terzan 12 na nadiskubre umano ng Turkish-Armenian astronomer na si Agop Terzan.
Matatagpuan umano ito sa layong 15,000 light-years mula sa Earth.

“Star clusters orbit around the galactic center and are bonded together by gravity,” anang NASA.
“The bright red stars appear bloated and are many times larger than are Sun. While the blue stars are not inside the cluster, they remain visible aging stars.”
“Due to the location of the cluster, interstellar gas and dust clouds cause the starlight to be altered which is why we see redder wavelengths from Earth,” saad pa nito.
