Na-stuck ang isang rubber boat ng Chinese Coast Guard (CCG) nang 'masilo' sa tali o mooring line ng isang fishing boat ng Pilipinas habang binubuntutan ang barko ng Pilipinas na nagsasagawa ng resupply mission sa BRP Sierra Madre sa Ayungin Shoal nitong Setyembre 8, ayon sa Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
Ito ang isinapubliko ni AFP spokesperson Col. Medel Aguilar, sa isinagawang press conference sa Quezon City nitong Sabado.
Nangyari ang insidente habang hinahabol ng rigid-hull inflatable boat (RHIB) ng CCG ang barko ng Pilipinas na patungo sa tropa ng pamahalaan na nasa BRP Sierra Madre para sa resupply mission nitong Biyernes.
Nang masaksihan ng mga sundalo ng Pilipinas na nasa BRP Sierra Madre, nag-alok ng tulong ang mga ito.
Gayunman, tinanggihan sila ng mga sakay ng RHIB at sa halip ay sinisi pa ang mga ito sa insidente.
“Our troops stationed at BRP Sierra Madre offered their assistance, actually, two rubber boats. They proceeded to the area to help the RHIB of China. Of course, China refused because they don’t want Filipinos to be helping them,” aniya.
Nasagip din ang Chinese rubber boat matapos dumating ang kanilang kasamahan na sakay ng isa pang bangka.
“Now, what is quite amusing is that they still have the guts to challenge our troops through radio message. They said that Philippine Coast Guard, because of your maneuvers, of your blocking maneuvers, the China Coast Guard RHIB 21616 got entangled,” sabi pa ni Aguilar.
