Gagamitin muli ng gobyerno ang air assets ng Philippine Air Force (PAF) upang makapaghatid ng relief goods sa mga lugar na naapektuhan ng pagbaha sa Negros Occidental.
Nasa 20,000 family food packs (FFP) ang nakatakdang ilipad ng mga helicopter ng PAF mula Mactan Air Base patungong Bacolod-Silay International Airport.
Ang naturang tulong ay inilabas na ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-Visayas Disaster Resource Center (VDRC) sa Cebu City.
“A request has been made to the Visayas Command for a fixed wing, specifically a C-130 cargo plane, for faster airlifting of the prepositioned FFPs at the Mactan Air Base,” ayon sa Disaster Response and Management Group (DRMG).7
Ipamamahagi ang naturang FFP sa mga lugar sa ikaapat na distrito ng lalawigan, kabilang ang Bago, La Carlota, Pontevedra, Pulupandan, San Enrique at Valladolid.
