Natagpuan sa Masungi Georeserve sa Rizal ang isang Olive-backed Sunbird o “Tamsi” na maituturing umanong katutubo sa Pilipinas.

Sa isang Facebook post ng Masungi, ibinahagi nito ang larawan ng Tamsi na nakadapo sa isang sanga ng kanilang puno.

“[Tamsi] primarily consumes nectar, but insects become a significant part of its diet, especially when tending to its young,” anang Masungi. 

“With the assistance of its small wings, these birds exhibit agile and straightforward flight.”

“Having originated in mangrove habitats, this avian species has not only embraced urban environments but has also ingeniously incorporated man-made structures into its nesting habits,” saad pa nito kasama ang hashtag na #SaveMasungi.

Kamakailan lamang, ibinahagi rin ng Masungi Georeserve ang isang larawan ng indigo-banded kingfisher na malaya umanong nakalilipad sa lugar.
