"Way back in 2015, in my first year of teaching, I still remember how I made a way to do my lesson plan with five preparations IN THE ABSENCE OF a personal laptop and smartphone that I could not afford to buy," aniya.

"But, because I remember what one of our professors (Dr. Tandingan) in college said, 'It is a mortal sin to enter the classroom without a lesson plan.' Crawl as you may, you shall teach. ('Sukdulang gumapang ka, magturo ka.')"

"When you become a teacher, you must be resourceful. Learn to do the impossible, have an eagerness to solve problems, and believe that you can do them."

"So, this is it."

"How did I manage from a set up where, despite not having a laptop and smartphone, I could finish my lesson plan? It's simple. I persevered and loved my profession as a teacher because I entered the classroom well-prepared and did not waste my students' time at school."

"I experienced hand-writing a lesson for the five classes I handle. I finish at 11 p.m. or 12 a.m. because I also work with visual aids. This is my daily routine, and then I'll still go to school at 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. In the evening, we will have tutorials until 7 p.m. I'm just doing my best to be patient because I'm a teacher. It is my obligation as a teacher."

"It's just that, after a few months, I was no longer allowed by the school I attended to submit handwritten LPs. So what I did was wait at the computer shop to type an LP, and because there were many young people playing, I waited for them to finish. It may have reached me from 9 to 11 p.m., so to speak. That means, until dawn, I'm working in Marta's computer shop for an LP."

"I'm sleepy, but I can handle it, and I pray to God to give me strength of mind and body. Until I can buy my own laptop, little by little 😊 I went through everything with diligence and trust in the Lord that He would not let me down in any of my situations in life."

So, to all the teachers like me who lose hope in teaching, just hang in there. Just fight, because the important thing is that you are progressing."
