Ang award-winning actor na si John Lloyd Cruz ang itinanghal na "Best Actor" sa 76th Locarno Film Festival na ginanap sa Locarno, Switzerland kamakailan.

Napansin ng mga hurado ang mahusay na pagganap ni Lloydie sa pelikulang "Essential Truths of The Lake" na idinirehe ni Lav Diaz.

Nagpaabot naman ng pagbati ang "Film Development Council of the Philippines" o FDCP, sa pangunguna ng Chairman nitong si Tirso Cruz III, para sa aktor sa lahat ng bumubuo ng pelikula.

"With this prize, Cruz becomes the second Filipino actor to have received such award after Hazel Orencio in 2014 for another Diaz's film 'Mula sa Kung Ano Ang Noon' (From What is Before)."

Sa Instagram page naman ng pelikula ay makikita ang litrato ni Lloydie habang hawak niya ang natanggap na tropeo mula sa film festival.
