Nagpasalamat ang singer-songwriter na si Ice Seguerra kay dating Department of Local and Interior Government (DILG) Undersecretary Martin Diño, ama ng kaniyang asawang si Liza Diño.

Matatandaang pumanaw na ang dating DILG usec nitong Martes dahil sa cancer. Kinumpirma rin ito mismo ni Liza sa kaniyang social media account.

Sa isang Instagram post nitong Martes, Agosto 8, nagpasalamat si Ice kay Martin dahil sa tinanggap siya nito.

“Thank you so much, Papa Martin, for accepting and embracing me as one of your own. Please say hi to my dad ngayong magkasama na kayo,” anang singer.

Inalala rin ni Ice nang tanungin niya ang dating DILG usec kung puwede niyang pakasalan ang anak nito.

“I remember our conversation when I asked you if you would allow me to marry your daughter; you readily said yes and that you were happy because you knew that I would take good care of Liza and Amara. Thank you for trusting me,” ani Ice sa kaniyang father-in-law.

“Matagal ka rin lumaban, Papa. Lumaban para sa bayan, para sa mga anak mo, at sa cancer. Pero ngayon, pwedeng pwede ka na magpahinga. I love you, papa!” saad pa ni Ice sa kaniyang post.

Bukod kay Ice, may mensahe rin ang kaniyang asawa kay Martin.

“My dear Papa, You fought until the end; we all did. And you were surrounded by prayers of countless people whose lives you’ve touched.

“Only God knows why, despite all the outpour of love and support, things have to come to an end—but for now, at least no more pain na papa ko. I love you so much. You’re always in my heart.”
