“Gusto naming makipagkaibigan, pero bakit China ang hirap mong mahalin?”
Ito ang pahayag ni Senate President Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri nitong Linggo, Agosto 6, matapos ang nangyaring pag-atake ng Chinese Coast Guard (CCG) sa supply boat ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) sa Ayungin Shoal gamit ang “water cannon” noong Sabado, Agosto 5.

Ayon kay Zubiri, ang nangyaring pag-atake ng CCG ay isa na naman umanong manipestasyon ng “might vs. right” treatment ng China sa “peaceful neighbors” nito.

“By its actions, it shows diplomatic duplicity, of preaching about amity, but practicing hostile behavior. This incident reaffirms the merit of the resolution the Senate has unanimously passed,” ani Zubiri.
“Because China contemptuously [ignores] protests, all the more that we have to rally the world to condemn acts which have no place in a civilized order,” saad pa niya.
