Meralco, tapyas-singil sa kuryente ngayong Mayo
Tinatayang aabot sa ₱30 milyong halaga ng expired na karne at iba pang frozen na karne ang kinumpiska sa isang bodega sa Caloocan City kamakailan.
Pinangunahan ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) ang operasyon nitong Agosto 1, katulong ang Department of Agriculture (DA), Philippine Coast Guard, at National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS).
Ayon sa BOC, hindi ligtas na kainin ang mga produkto dahil lumagpas na sa expiration date.
“Protecting our consumers remains a priority of the bureau. We can ensure to put a stoppage to these nefarious activities by apprehending individuals and groups through well-planned and coordinated inter-agency operations,'' banggit ni BOC-Intelligence and Investigation Service chief Verne Ennciso.
Under investigation pa ang kaso, ayon pa sa BOC.
