Ipinahayag ni House Deputy Speaker at Batangas City 6th district Rep. Ralph Recto na isang oportunidad ang State of the Nation Address (SONA) para maipaliwanag umano ni Pangulong Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. ang bagong leadership brand ng administrasyon na “Bagong Pilipinas.”
Inilunsad ng Malacañang noong Hulyo 16 ang naturang “Bagong Pilipinas” campaign bilang bago umanong “brand” ng governance at leadership ng administrasyon ni Marcos.

“[SONA] is an opportunity for the President to present the architecture of Bagong Pilipinas where it is hoped that the full potential of the Filipino is harnessed, merit is given chance, and hard work rewarded,” pahayag ni Recto nitong Linggo, Hulyo 23.

Ayon pa kay Recto, ang SONA ay hindi lamang isang “throwback moment” para sa nakalipas na taon, bagkus ay isa umanong “battleplan” kung paano mapabibilis ang pagsakatuparan ng mga ninanais na makamit.
“It is not a mere replay of the past, but a preview of the future, setting a vision so compelling that it inspires and unites the entire nation to work hard for it,” ani Recto.
“The text of the SONA should be truthful because if not, the people will not be on the same page with the government in the critical days ahead. It should give equal play to achievements – notable, negligible and neglected. The work in progress is more important than the finished business,” dagdag niya.
Iginiit din ng mambabatas na ang SONA ay hindi isang “Wikipedia” ng bawat solusyon at problema na kinahaharap ng bansa.
“But at the very least, it should satisfy the people on what will be done to things that matter to - and bother - them the most.
These are food on the table, jobs for the skilled, faster commute, streets for their children, care for the sick, comfort for the aged,” giit ni Recto.
“I am not looking forward to spellblinding oratory tomorrow. I am interested about the marching orders,” saad pa niya.
