Nagpadala na ng tulong ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) sa Batanes bilang bahagi disaster preparedness efforts ng pamahalaan dahil sa bagyong Egay.
Sa social media post ng DSWD, nasa 300 family food packs (FFPs) ang idiniliber ng C295 medium-lift transport aircraft ng Philippine Air Force sa lalawigan nitong Sabado.
Bahagi pa lamang ito ng paunang tulong ng DSWD para sa mga residente na maaapektuhan ng bagyo sa mga susunod na araw.
Kabilang sa mga tumutulong sa DSWD ang Social Welfare and Development (SWAD); Provincial Social Welfare and Development (PSWD); Philippine National Police (PNP); Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP); Philippine Marine Corps (PMC); PAF; at mga tauhan ng Provincial Government of Batanes.
