Inihayag ni National Union of Peoples’ Lawyers-National Capital Region (NUPL-NCR) Secretary General Kristina Conti na ilalatag nila bilang ebidensya sa International Criminal Court (ICC) ang mga talumpati at pahayag ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, maging ang mga datos umano mula sa pamilya ng mga naging biktima ng “war on drugs” ng dating administrasyon.

Sa panayam ng ANC nitong Biyernes, Hulyo 21, sinabi ni Conti, ICC assistant to counsel, na inihahanda na nila ang mga talumpati at public statements na sinambit umano ni Duterte hinggil sa “war on drugs.”

“That’s how precisely he is being tagged or being impleaded in these proceedings that he masterminded, ordered and encouraged all these killings,” ani Conti.

“They (ICC) are trying heads of state, they are trying masterminds and for them these pieces of evidence is admissible and would be taken in by the justices or the judges. These videos, these speeches, these transcripts have been made available on official websites,” dagdag niya.

Ayon kay Conti, mayroon silang dalawang uri ng datos na ilalahad sa ICC: ang “aggregated data” at mga datos mula sa pamilya ng mga biktima.

Inilarawan ng kalihim ng NUPL-NCR ang “aggregated data” bilang mga pinagsama-samang mga dokumento na may kinalaman sa “war on drugs” tulad umano ng police reports at ang 7,000 naitalang mga kaso sa Korte Suprema.

Samantala, sinabi rin ni Conti na pagsasama-samahin din nila ang mga kuwento ng pamilya ng mga nabiktima umano ng “war on drugs” ng dating administrasyon.

“We have many stories of families being raided inside their homes and the women and children being asked to leave the room and the father or the son or a male member of the family which was asked to stay inside that’s where they will be killed.

“So, these children, these mothers, these women would likely be taken as eyewitnesses themselves,” ani Conti.

“In fact, I myself have been through only data from 200 families,” dagdag niya.

Ayon pa kay Conti, naghahanap na rin sila ng mga paraan para mapangalagaan at maibahagi sa ICC ang lahat ng mga ebidensyang hawak umano nila.

Samantala, sinabi rin ng kalihim ng NUPL-NCR na maaaring umabot sa isang dekada o higit pa bago lumabas ang desisyon ng ICC hinggil sa naturang kaso.

“We have already told the families we are looking at 10 years or more,” saad ni Conti.

“What’s best for the families right now is to cooperate with the ICC because this investigation will move forward and ask for evidence.”

Matatandaang kamakailan lamang ay ibinasura ng Appeals Chamber ng International Criminal Court (ICC) ang apela ng pamahalaan ng Pilipinas na ihinto ang imbestigasyon sa “war on drugs” ng administrasyon ni dating Pangulong Duterte.

Dahil dito, maaari na umanong ipagpatuloy ni ICC prosecutor Karim Khan ang kaniyang imbestigasyon hinggil sa “war on drugs” na humantong umano sa pagkasawi ng libu-libong indibidwal.
